Quality Process

At KAR-AS, quality is built into production rather than checked only at the end: every model has a defined technical specification and bill of materials, Bonnell and pocket spring units, mattresses and bed bases are produced in our own plant in Kayseri, Turkey, and every shipment is documented.

1. A defined specification for every model

Each spring unit and mattress model is defined by measurable values such as spring height, wire diameter, coil count and arrangement, and these values are published on the product pages. Custom dimensions and specifications are agreed with the customer at the order stage.

2. Bill of materials in our ERP system

Every product has a bill of materials in our ERP system listing its components and quantities – steel wire, fabrics, foams and other materials. Production orders are created from this bill of materials, so a model is built from the same recipe in every batch and repeat orders match the original.

3. In-house production

Bonnell and pocket spring units, mattresses and bed bases are produced in our 20,000 m² indoor facility in the Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone. Because we make the springs ourselves, the spring cores of our spring mattresses come from our own production.

4. Packaging and shipment documents

Products are packed according to type – spring units flat-pack pressed or roll-packed, mattresses flat or roll-packed. Each shipment is prepared with a packing list, a commercial invoice and a loading plan, listing the quantities and weights of every item. See packaging and container loading.
